| No previous experience is required for this course. Complete Nail Technology may be studied full time for two weeks, or part time during the evenings and weekends over four weeks. The course content remains the same regardless of full or part time study.
During this 2 week full time or 4 week part time course you will learn:
- MANICURE
Begin with learning how to do manicures and apply temporary tips for special
occasions. Learn how to apply coloured polish and 'French' polish professionally.
- PARAFFIN WAX
Learn how to apply this deep moisturising treatment - suitable for the hands, feet elbows, knees
- in fact any dry area.
- ACRYLIC
Acrylic is the strongest system. We will teach you how to apply a tip and make it
permanent by coating it with an overlay of acrylic. Then we will advance a little,
and using acrylic, create a permanently 'French' look nail with a white tip.
- SCULPTURE
We will show you how to extend the nails without using tips, by sculpting them
purely from acrylic - very useful when dealing with nail biters.
- DRILL
Learn how to use the drill to do backfills for the permanent "French Look" nails.
- DELUXE SPA PEDICURE
Includes marine soak, nail shaping, cuticle work, callus removal, marine scrub,
pedicure marine mask, foot massage and polish application. Treatment to die for!
- UV ACRYLIC
One day will be spent learning a new acrylic system which is odourless, this is
great for technicians who want the strength of an acrylic without the odour -
maybe you would like to work from home or share space with a beautician.
- GEL
One day we will learn gel, a lighter coating than acrylic, and when it is best
suited. We will also teach you the new POWDER GEL system.
- NAIL ART
The final day is our creative day when we learn all the techniques involved in nail
art, including nail piercing and nail jewellery.
- REFILLS
There is one final day when you bring back one of your models from
class and we show you how to do refills. This is essential as all your nail clients
will need to have their nails maintained!
