TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- Deposits are non-refundable.
- All refunds or transfer requests must be made in writing.
- Students who withdraw from a course less than two weeks prior will incur a $200 administration fee per subject. If our training coordinator can fill the position you have vacated, your deposit of $200 may be transferred to another course and the balance of that course paid in full. If the position is not filled the $200 is forfeited.
- Students who withdraw from a course more than two weeks prior will incur a $200 administration fee per subject. This $200 may be transferred to another course at the Training Coordinators discretion.
- If a student withdraws from a course after the course has commenced, course fees are not refundable. An exception may be allowed in certain circumstances to transfer to another course, at the Training Coordinators discretion,
- Due to circumstances beyond our control, from time to time it may be necessary to cancel or reschedule courses. In the event that this occurs, Academy Studio will refund fee balances paid on request. Deposits may be transferred to another date. If a course is cancelled the student will be notified as soon as possible, and every effort will be made to reschedule to the next available course.
- If a course is cancelled or rescheduled, Academy Studio will issue a credit voucher of $50 to each student who confirms their place in the next available course. This voucher may be used towards product or future course fees. If a workshop is cancelled or rescheduled, the credit voucher will be in the amount of $25. These vouchers will be issued at the completion of the course.
- If you are unable to attend a single class, and we have been notified, you may make up the class by attending a corresponding class in a subsequent course. This is dependent on availability. There is no extra cost if this is done within three months after the completion of the enrolled course, or the next available course should there not be one scheduled within 3 months. If you miss more than 2 classes without a doctors certificate, a fee of $120 per class ($60 per evening) may be charged to make-up classes.
- Students must provide their own models for all practical sessions where specified. Academy Studio reserves the right to charge an administration fee for finding models. Students who are from country or interstate may request assistance in finding models. This must be done at least 2 weeks prior and in writing.
- It is every student’s responsibility to participate in the daily cleaning duties of the training room, as you would normally in a salon environment. This ensures the training room is always left as it is found in a clean and tidy state.
- In cases of severe misconduct or theft by a student during the course, The Academy reserves the right to refuse continuance of training at any stage. In these cases no refund will be issued.
- All courses require 100% attendance to be eligible to sit for the assessment, and thus receive the Certificate assigned to the course. All students will be assessed for basic competency during their course by either a written or practical exam or both. It may be necessary for some students to re-sit assessments before any certificates will be issued. 1 re-sit will be allowed at no cost. Further re-sits will incur a charge of $120. Non -attendance on assessment day will incur a charge of $120.
- Re issue of certificates will incur a $25 fee
- Smart professional dress is to be worn at all times. We recommend black pants or skirt and a black or white shirt or top. Items such as; crop tops, tracksuits and runners are not suitable. Jewelry is to be restricted to a wedding ring and wristwatch. Bangles and necklaces are not suitable and will restrict your work. All long hair is to be tied back neatly.
- Children are not permitted in class at any time. Models will only be permitted in class whilst they are being treated.
- Please advise us if you are pregnant as it may not be advisable for you to attend some of the classes.
- These Terms and Conditions replace all other previous Terms and Conditions and can be replaced or altered by Director at any time. Course prices can be subject to change. All Terms and Conditions are deemed to be accepted by all parties upon enrollment.
